HUNTERSVILLE – Huntersville police are looking for suspects in the Wednesday night shooting death of a 19-year-old Cornelius man at The Landings at Northcross apartments, off I-77 Exit 25, east of Birkdale Village.
Police were called to 16916 Landings Drive, Apt. G, at 6:06pm for a report of a gunshot victim. They found Peter Michael Jordan, 19, with multiple gunshot wounds.
Once police secured the scene, a Medic unit treated Jordan without success, and he died.
Police say they have witnesses and are searching for suspects, but have given few details.
“At this time we are withholding the victim’s address at the wishes of the family who have asked for privacy during this time of grieving,” Huntersville police said in a report Thursday morning.

Police planned a press conference Thursday afternoon to discuss the case further.

Huntersville police are investigating a fatal shooting Wednesday night at The Landings at Northcross apartments, off I-77 Exit 25, east of Birkdale Village.
Police say they have witnesses and are searching for suspects, but have given few details.
WBTV reported that the victim was a man.
In postings on Facebook and Twitter, Mayor Jill Swain also commented on the fatal shooting. “We are saddened at the loss of life, grateful to our police officers for their professionalism,” she said on Twitter.
