CONCORD – Concord Police arrested two suspects Thursday night on charges related to the murder of a 15-year-old A.L. Robinson High School student Sunday.
Concord Police were called to Northeast Medical Center shortly before 10 pm Sunday, where doctors were treating a gunshot victim. Mark Gevon Bostic Jr., 15, of Robbins Street in Concord, was pronounced dead at the hospital, where he had been brought in a private car.
Police charged Marlon Tyrese Banner, 25, and Corey Levi Banner, 18, with one count each of First Degree Murder and Discharging a Weapon into a Moving Vehicle. Both men live on Boulder Drive SW in Concord.
Police said a preliminary investigation found Bostic had been shot while riding in a vehicle in the area of Corban Avenue SW and Crowell Drive SW, a few blocks from downtown.
The two suspects were being held Thursday night at Cabbarus County Jail.
