A 25-foot Sunesta motorboat valued at $28,000 was stolen from the Blue Stone Harbor boat dock between last Saturday and this Tuesday, and as of June 3 it had yet to be recovered. Meanwhile, Cornelius police also are investigating the theft of a 9mm Beretta pistol from a Sunset Cove Lane house. WEDNESDAY, MAY 30, 12:35 pm, 18341 Old Statesville Rd. – An 18-year-old Huntersville man suffered a head injury Friday when he fell off while riding on the outside of a car in a parking lot off NC 115. Read our coverage of the incident here.
SATURDAY, MAY 31, 12:00am-3:00pm, 8400 block Westmoreland Lake Dr. – An unknown vandal damaged the fences of two neighboring houses in the early morning of the May 31, causing an estimated $400 in damage.
SATURDAY, MAY 31, 12:39am, near 20545 Catawba Ave. – Police pulled over a Jeep Grand Cherokee near McDonald’s on Catawba Avenue, and found that the driver, a known suspect, was in possession of marijuana. They issued a citation for drug possession and released the suspect at the scene.
SUNDAY, JUNE 1, 2-4pm, Sunset Cove Lane – Between 2 and 4pm Sunday afternoon, an unknown suspect took advantage of an open house on Sunset Cove Lane to steal a 9mm Beretta pistol and a box of ammunition. The value of the stolen gun and bullets total $1,515.
SUNDAY, JUNE 1, 11pm-8:30am, 21600 block Aftonshire Dr. – During the night an unknown suspect spray-painted the windows of two vehicles, causing approximately $700 in total damages.
SUNDAY JUNE 1, 2:56am, 17200 block Shadow Bark Dr. – A drunk driver crashed his gray Honda into a brick wall in front of a residence, causing the wall to collapse on top of the vehicle and injuring the driver, who was taken to Novant Healthcare in Huntersville for treatment.
MONDAY, JUNE 2, 9-10:30am, YMCA, 21300 Davidson St. – an unknown suspect broke into three vehicles in the parking lot of the YMCA, stealing a cell phone and wallets. The items stolen add up to $373.00 in value.
TUESDAY, JUNE 3, 5:50pm, Blue Stone Harbor - A 25’ Sunesta motorboat with a burgundy/white color scheme was stolen from the Blue Stone Harbor boat dock, located on Harken Drive, between last Saturday and this Tuesday.
