
Police released a security camera photo of the suspect in Monday’s Carolinas Telco credit union robbery.

A man with a black handgun robbed the Carolinas Telco Federal Credit Union on West Catawba Avenue Monday afternoon, fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money in a car that may have been parked behind the nearby Shops at Fresh Market.
Police said the call came in around 2:36pm about a robbery at the branch, at 20221 W. Catawba Ave., near the entrance to the Fresh Market shopping center, opposite Liverpool Parkway.
Officers found a bicycle near the robbery scene along with a small amount of cash.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches, bald with a white and blue ball cap, beige pants and dark coat. Police did not have a description of the getaway car.

Police initially were searching for a suspect, but as of 3:45pm no search was underway.
Police on the scene said no one was hurt in the incident. It wasn’t known how much money was taken in the robbery.
