Meanwhile, police investigated the theft of a $4,000 trailer from the Acropolis restaurant parking lot, and the theft of $50,000 in jewelry from a Flying Jib Road residence between Jan. 9 and Jan. 23. WEDNESDAY, JAN. 21, 1:56pm, 19500 block Waverunner Ln. – A woman was bitten on the hand while trying to break up a fight between her dog and an unleashed dog belonging to a neighbor. The victim was treated with antibiotics and pain medication at CMC Urgent Care at Northcross, and police returned to the apartments to quarantine the dog.
THURSDAY, JAN. 22, 12:26pm, Acropolis, 20659 Catawba Ave. – An unknown suspect stole a 16 ft. red 2005 East Tennessee enclosed trailer valued at $4,000 from the parking lot of the Acropolis.
SUNDAY, JAN. 25, 3:49pm, 19500 block South Hill St. – An officer was called in reference to a domestic disturbance at a South HIll Street residence. After arresting a known suspect and attempting to place him in a patrol vehicle, the suspect assaulted the police officer by kicking the car door, causing it to slam on the officer’s fingers.
SUNDAY, JAN. 25, 7:18pm, 16800 Flying Jib Road, Peninsula area – Between Friday, Jan. 9, and Friday, Jan. 23, someone stole a $5,000 necklace, a $25,000 wedding ring and band, and a $20,000 diamond tennis bracelet from a Flying Jib Road residence.
SUNDAY, JAN. 25, 8:30pm, 22200 block Market St. – The owner of a black 2009 Mercedes C300 said an unknown suspect stole it from in front of her residence between 8am Saturday and 2pm Sunday.
SUNDAY, JAN. 25, 8:44pm, 10200 block Conistan Place – A known suspect drove through the victim’s yard in a Chevrolet pickup truck, causing damage to her grass and yard.
MONDAY, JAN. 26, 8:30am, 1721 Lovers Lawn Trace, Antiquity Cornelius – Unknown suspect(s) cut 136 feet of copper refrigeration tubing from the open rafters of a construction site. The tubing is valued at $687.
MONDAY, JAN. 26, 11:06pm, Statesville Road near Catawba Ave. – Police initiated a traffic stop on a gold 2008 Corolla. Upon investigation, the driver was found to be in possession of a glass jar containing 3.75 grams of marijuana, a dark multi-colored smoking pipe, a silver grinder, a glass slide, a glass bong, and a smoking pipe. He was charged by citation and released.
MONDAY, JAN. 26, 11:28pm, Tienda Maria Multi Servicio, 19816 S. Main St. – A man said he dropped his wallet, which he claimed contained $4,000, in front of the convenience store on Sunday at around 10pm. After contacting the store owner, video is said to show another tenant of the building picking up the wallet.
TUESDAY, JAN. 27, 5:10pm, 21031 Catawba Ave – A biker was travelling east on the sidewalk, instead of biking in the bike lane, as a driver was pulling onto Catawba. The biker was trying to go around the vehicle when the vehicle pulled out and struck her. She complained of pain in her left ankle but refused transport to the hospital.
